Hello!

I am delighted to be teaching at Waite Park Elementary. This fall, I begin my 41st year of teaching and my 39th year with the Minneapolis Public Schools. I have taught grades one – six, but most of my career has been spent teaching first grade. In addition, I have been privileged to work as a District Mentor, TAP Mentor, Literacy Coordinator, Literacy Coach and Reading Specialist.

Providing quality education has been a lifelong endeavor. I received my bachelor’s degree from St. Catherine University and my master’s degree from Minnesota State Mankato. I also completed coursework for my K-12 Reading License from the University of Minnesota.

I grew up in Delano, the second oldest of eight. Needless to say our household was buzzing with activity. I live in Burnsville and have been blessed with four of my own children, two grandsons and three kitty cats. My family household is a lively place as well.
