Anthony Middle School Athletics
At Anthony Middle School, our sports offer a winning combination of athletics, support and membership. Anthony has more than 100 student-athletes who compete on a variety of sports teams within our Minneapolis public school conference. Success has been proven by our continued efforts to foster growth by builidng our student athletes ability to incorportate the core vaules of our IB learning profile. (Fairness and Development, Risk-Takers, Knowledgable, Thinkers, Personal Cultural Expression, Balanced, Mindful, Cariing, and Principled)
Throughout the years we have enjoyed top-five team finishes in all sports offered at Anthony Middle School. In the past ten years, our students won a total of 14 conference championships. Our goal is to continue to raise the bar as the new sport season approaches. Most importantly, our coaching staff has a tremendous impact on the success of our students athletes within the classroom and the specific sports our athletes participate in. Anthony coaches develop individual and team skills, offer advice and mentorship, and stress a lifelong appreciation of sports and competition for a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
Finally, please welcome a new addition to the Anthony Middle School athletics family. Katy Linne who is our advanced band instructor at Anthony. Mrs. Linne will be our new head coach for the co-ed soccer program this season. Mrs. Linne brings a ton of knowledge and expertise to our co-ed soccer program and we are extremely excited to work with her as this season approaches.
