Andrea Stolhanske

I am so incredibly excited to be back teaching in the classroom this year at Jenny Lind!

I began my teaching career with Intermediate District 287 in 1996 as a teacher in a special education classroom with middle school students from around the West Metro. A year later, I joined Minneapolis Public Schools where I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th grades and two years teaching in a 7/8th grade special education classroom. I have also served a year as a No Child Left Behind Lead Teacher, a Literacy Specialist and two years as a PAR (Professional Assistance and Review) Mentor for Induction teachers.

I have worked mainly on the north side of Minneapolis, with the exception of two years on the south side. I live on the north side and truly enjoy serving the community where I live!

In my spare time I love spending time with my family, which consists of my partner, JD, and our dog, Nahla. As the students will attest, I love my coffee and enjoy finding quiet little coffee shops for a daily fresh brew and a good read! I am a reality TV and news junkie, and I have recently found myself enjoying a few shows on Netflix.

I am fortunate to work with such amazing students, families and this dedicated staff! Please feel free to contact me at andrea.stolhanske@mpls.k12.mn.us , and/or through my Google Voice number at 612-460-5072
