English Language Learning

with Amara

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year!

I look forward to working with your child this year as their English Language (ELL) teacher. Our ELL program is designed for students with a background in a language other than English. Students in my class receive extra support with reading, writing, listening and speaking. The goal is for students to emerge from the ELL program as multilingual and ready for the academic challenges ahead. We believe that knowing more than one language is an asset in education and in life, and we honor the languages and cultures our students bring to the classroom. At MPS Online, we celebrate our bilingual and multilingual learners!

Each new school years brings challenges and unique opportunities. I believe that by working together we will make this year a fulfilling learning experience. I encourage you, as the most influential people in your child's life, to approach this school year with open minds and hearts. We will explore new ways to learn, make friends, and have fun.

I invite you to call, email, or text me if you have any questions or concerns.

I look forward to a great year with you and your child.

Sincerely,

Amara Chambers
