9.20-4 Explore Pascal's Triangle

Born in France, Blaise Pascal was a mathematician, physicist, inventor, writer, and a child prodigy. He is credited as being one of the first inventors of a mechanical calculator. He contributed to and influenced the fields of projective geometry, probability theory, modern economics and social science.

Pascal didn't discover the pattern known as Pascal's Triangle but he did write about it and made contributions to the mathematics described by it.

Here are some interesting coloring techniques for Pascal's Triangle.

four colors to color the

multiples of four
numbers one less than multiples of four
numbers two less than multiples of four
numbers three less than multiples of four.

five colors to color the

multiples of five
numbers one less than multiples of five
numbers two less than multiples of five
numbers three less than multiples of five
numbers four less than multiples of five.

You could try any number of colors, just set a plan and follow through. I can't wait to see what you turn in!
