In humanities we are doing a project on the first Americans. We are researching the Arctic region and will eventually build a model of their homes. My goal for humanities is to make discussions effective by clearly expressing ideas, asking probing questions, making sure everyone is heard, and
responding thoughtfully to new information and perspectives.
For an overnight school trip we went camping at Chaco Canyon. At Chaco canyon we went on 3 hikes, Pueblo Bonito, Chetro Cetl, and Casa Rinconada. At night we had spaghetti and meatballs. Later we roasted s'mores and went to bed, I stayed up till 12:00 am and woke up at 5:00
The learning target for our first exhibition was, "I understand how some of the first people in North America adapted to to their climates and geography.
The region I studied for the exhibition was the Arctic. I exceeded the standards in group work, how I presented it, how my model looked, and how good my research was. The group work standard was to show how well you worked in your group, and the research standard was how good my research was. The other two, exhibition presentation and the model graded how much of my script I memorized and how good my model was. Next time for my group to improve my project we could probably cover up the glue a bit more.
