About Mr. Hilding

It is great to meet you all! I grew up in Minnesota playing sports and loving the outdoors.  After studying Politics and Philosophy at a small college there, I taught ESL and studied Spanish in Ecuador for over a year, which brought about my passion for the Spanish language and culture.   Then, I moved back to Minnesota to continue my ESL teaching by starting a small program in Minneapolis for adult immigrants to learn English.  After earning my teaching license, I taught Social Studies at a high school in southern Minnesota for three years.  Then the opportunity for me to move to Fort Collins, Colorado presented itself in the summer of 2022, where I was a substitute teacher, assistant coach, and completed my masters degree in education.  I am excited to share my passion for the mountains, meditation, philosophy, athletics, health, and Spanish.  I would describe myself as a life-long learner of general knowledge and wisdom.  I am very excited to work at MMS!
