Unit: Movement in Art
This week your going to work on telling a visual story using a story board. A storyboard is a visual representation of a story similar ro a comic book. It's made up of a number of squares with illustrations or pictures representing each shot, with notes about what's going on in the scene and what's being said in the script during that shot. After a movie script is created a story board artist translates the script into pictures to show what the movie will look like. You will be creating a storyboard this week that will then be used to create a flip book. The following links are a summary of how Pixar studios use visual language and story boards to tell stories. Visual Language uses the elements of art and principles of design such as shape color and emphasis . Watch the links below before getting started.

We have been looking at movement in art using the figure. For this project you can create a short story around your super hero character or you can create a new story. Create a story board using pictures to tell a short story around a character or movement such as running or jumping. Keep it short and simple. You will be creating a flip book using your storyboard ideas. The following are some examples.
