Some of our modern day superheros are modeled after the Ancient Greek Gods. What are the qualities of a super hero, strength, bravery, compassion? If you created your own super hero what super human strength would they have, what would they look like, would they tranform or have an animal sidekick? What do they protect or care for? This week you are going to imagine and draw your own super hero inspired by the Olympians, so grab your art bag and lets get started!
You will need a pencil, watercolor paper paper, and color pencils
Starting with a pencil, lightly draw a super hero gesture pose using oval shapes. Once you have your gesture down begin thinking about what you want your super hero to look like. What are they wearing, what is their super hero logo, what is thier super power? You can incorporate some of the super powers or symbols of the Ancient Greek Gods.
Once you have drawn your super hero decide where your super hero lives and begin drawing a background with your super hero in the foreground, so they are drawn large. Trace over everthing using a sharpie.
Take out your color pencils and color in everything. Try adding value or mixing colors. When your done, photograph to Artsonia and add an artist stament about your super hero. Last, clean up and put into your portfolio. I can't wait to see what you come up with!
