International Student Program is coordinating a Holiday Host Program, faculty and staff on campus, will be paired with one or more international students and these families will invite students to their home for Thanksgiving meal on Thursday November 24.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about American customs and holidays, while at the same time developing a meaningful relationship with a family in the community. Students always report having a very positive experience with the family afterwards, so please consider this great opportunity! We have amazing families we trust, who volunteer every year for this, it will be a Thanksgiving to remember!

If you are thinking of staying in Morris for all OR part of Winter Break, #HolidayHost for Winter Break, could be a good option for you!

A family connected with UMN Morris, would invite you to their home for a few hours to either: celebrate a holiday, cook/bake together, play board games, or take you sledding, skiing or skating! Many times the family can pick you up from campus. Having the option of leaving campus to socialize and get to know a new family would be a great opportunity!

ISP will make the initial match between you and a family, and from there it is up to you and the family to connect and make plans over Winter Break, Dec 17-Jan 16.
