Mr. white

Tom White is the instructor for Entering his 10th year in the classroom, Mr. White has worked with a lot of students and organizations to bring the best learning experience possible to the students of MCHS.

Prior to teaching Mr. White worked as a marketing and online content director for a major media company in their Greensboro, NC and Atlanta offices. During his time, Mr. White lead a team of designers to produce content for up to 14 websites as well as manage the marketing campaigns for major market radio stations.

Beginning his career in education at the Rockdale Career Academy in Conyers, Mr. White and his students began live streaming sporting events and eventually winning the NFHS Network national program of the year in 2016. In 2018, Mr. White joined the faculty at MCHS and has brought the same level of professionalism on the way to winning the 2019 NFHS Network Best New Program of the Year. In addition to the sports broadcast, all video production students work to produce content for the daily news show.

Outside of school, Mr. White works to elevate video production education across the state as a presenter for various professional development sessions each year. Mr. White works with the Georgia Department of Education and Career Tech Agriculture Education Resource Network, CTAERN, to produce events for video production teachers throughout the state. Mr. White also serves on the board of the Madison-Morgan Visitors and Convention Bereau and is the Vice President of the Trade and Industrial Educators of Georgia (TIEGA) Board of Directors. Mr. White is the host of the Teaching To The Test Pattern podcast, a podcast for video production teachers.
