To make Lily sit, you have to point your finger upwards (pointing to the ceiling) and say 'Lily, sit'. To get her to lay down, you bring your finger down to point to the ground and say 'Lily, down'. Elouise exclaimed "Dog training is very nice and we are having lots of fun trying to get Lilly to do lots of tricks. We are having hard times trying to get Lilly to do some tricks she has forgotten."
Lily is very good at following commands.... most of the time!

Joint Assembly with Peterhouse
Moorlands and fellow Ark member, Peterhouse, are doing a joint singing assembly. The song we are singing is ironically called "sing" by Gary Barlow(a member of British band Take That) & the Commonwealth band, featuring Military Wives. The event will take place on Wednesday 23rd October and it will be accessed via a Zoom call. More about the song is that it was made for Queen Elizabeth II diamond jubilee and it featured a lyric from one person from each country in the Commonwealth showing that everybody has a chance to sing and use their voice. We are doing the song for black history month

On Thursday 12th of December 2024 schools around the UK have a Christmas jumper day. This involves the children coming to school wearing a Christmas jumper instead of a school jumper, cardigan or PE hoodie. Almost all of the school wore their most festive jumpers that they own. This tradition also took place in other schools. Best of all.... All the teachers wore Christmas jumpers too! I mean for the students it was a bit strange but for the teachers, well why wouldn't they want to spread some Christmas cheer?
