Creating Diverse Representation of All People in School
Having a diverse representation in curriculum and every day story telling is so important. It enhances students perspectives of themselves in the world and of the people around them. When we engage in conversations around diversity it is vital that teachers continue to VALIDATE and AFFIRM students lived experiences. However, some of the challenges can be in selecting a variety of cultures for our libraries especially if we are unsure where to look. Below are some resources for help and guidance for all educators. Please use these resources towards diversifying school curriculum and libraries.
