The first Montessori Birth to Two International Course in summer 2019 included seminars, workshops, and observations covering the science of adaptation (epigenetics), the history of brain science and the neurobiology of movement, experiential relationship building and deep listening exercises, how to work with newborns, "ambientamento" - the process of growing into a new experience and how to introduce babies and the youngest children into childcare in a non-violent way, movement studies by Emmi Pikler, heuristic play by Elinor Goldschmied and the history of Centro Nascita Montessori.
