This is my 12th year as a teacher in the Monroe County School System and I am thrilled to continue to be a part of the GES family! I am a first grade teacher and I love my job. My students are so special to me and I have a classroom full of kids that are ready, willing, and eager to learn.

I graduated from Monroe County High School in 2005. I then attended Western Kentucky University where I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 2010. I was lucky enough to do my student teaching at Gamaliel Elementary School and to also work with their STARS afterschool and summer programs. I completed my master's degree in Library and Media Sciences in May of 2013 and completed my Rank I in Literacy Education at WKU in May 2018. I am also excited to announce that I am officially a National Board Certified Teacher (specialized in literacy ages 3-12) as of December 2019.

In addition to being a teacher, I am married to Adam and am the mother of two precious children. My daughter, Claire, is thirteen years old and is a 8th grader at MCMS. My son, Abel, is seven and is in second grade at GES. They are the light of my life. I am so proud of them each and every day!

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, going to the lake/beach/pool, reading, sewing, watching Netflix, and relaxing at home.
