Things to do at home with your child:

• Help them practice placing items where they go
• Help them to know the difference between good, safe choices (thumbs up) and bad, unsafe choices (thumbs down).

Things to do at home with your child:

• Let them help count things
• Let them help you measure things at home or cook with recipes
• Find things in the house and encourage them to tell you where it is using a positional word.
• Help them find their name on things.
• Help them to look on items around the house that start with the same letter as their name or start with the letter A.
• Help them to practice writing the first letter of their name.

Things you can do at home:

• Find things around that begin with the letter A.
• Look for the letter A in environmental print (boxes, signs, at the store, etc.)
• Count EVERYTHING!
• Find things that are short and tall or long and short and compare them.
• Continue making and looking for patterns and what would come next.
• Say the pledge of allegiance with your child.
• Talk about where you live with your child.
• Practice your home address.

• Find things that start with the letters A and B.
• Practice the sounds of letter A and B.
• Count EVERYTHING!
• Look for things that have more, less, or the same and encourage them to use those math terms.
• Encourage students to speak in complete sentences.
• Read to them and talk about the characters.
• Practice writing the letters A and B.
