Course/Level Changes

Students in AP and/or Honor level courses may appeal to withdraw to a lower level of the same course within the first three weeks of marking period one. Students must have demonstrated a willingness to succeed e.g., completed all homework assignments and class work, participated in all classroom activities, and attended class daily. Students that are waived into a level against the teachers recommendation, will not be allowed to change levels. 


Please note that any change in a student’s schedule is based upon course availability and may have an impact on the original schedule.


When a student drops a course, the student transcript will reflect (W) during the first three weeks of marking period one. After the first three weeks any change in schedule with be noted as WF or WP.

(W) – Withdrew to select another level of same course.  

(WF) - withdrew after having demonstrated unsatisfactory achievement and/or poor attendance in the course or who was removed from the course by administrative action.

(WP) - withdrew after having demonstrated satisfactory achievement and attendance in the course.


The grade from the previous course will carry over to the new course.
