Moniteau School District is closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic. The health and safety of our students, faculty, staff, alumni and surrounding community is always our first priority. Browse below for general information and the latest updates.
COVID-19 VACCINATION CLINIC
The Community Health Team at Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh will be holding a COVID-19 vaccine clinic at Moniteau Jr./Sr. High School Gymnasium on Thursday, July 8, 2021, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine will be administered. Please note that anyone 12 years of age or older may get vaccinated at the clinic. The second dose will be administered at Moniteau Jr./Sr. High School Gymnasium on Thursday, July 29 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
As you consider this, please keep in mind that minors (ages 12-17) must have a parent/guardian signature on the vaccine consent form upon arrival at the clinic. Please review the attached vaccine consent form. Moniteau School District recognizes it is a personal decision to get the COVID-19 vaccination and the district is not influencing that process. We only want to continue to advocate for those individuals who may want access.
General COVID-19 Information
The Moniteau School District is closely monitoring guidance from local, state, and federal authorities related to educating our students while ensuring the safety of all stakeholders amidst the COVID 19 Pandemic. It is prudent to recognize that as the outbreak evolves, so does the guidance. Organizations such as the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH), the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) all continue to actively monitor the COVID 19 Pandemic, and measure the effectiveness mitigation efforts worldwide. Changes in guidance from these agencies will in turn impact Moniteau School District's operation and response to the pandemic. As a result, please keep in mind that our Health and Safety Plan and Return to Play documents are both very fluid. Formal approval of these documents by the Board of Directors must occur each time they evolve. Clear and frequent communication to our stakeholders will remain a high priority as we navigate these unprecedented times together.
