Privacy Policy — SajdaFlow

SajdaFlow ("the App", "we", "us") is designed to be private by default. We built SajdaFlow so that your spiritual practice stays between you and your device. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App uses, how it is used, and the choices you have.
The short version: SajdaFlow does not collect, sell, or share your personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no tracking, and no third-party analytics or advertising.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not require you to create an account or provide your name, email, or phone number.
We do not use any advertising networks or third-party analytics SDKs.
We do not track you across other apps or websites.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
We do not operate any server that stores your personal data.
2. Information Used On Your Device
The following information is processed locally on your device only. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party.
a) Location
With your permission, the App uses your device's location to:
Calculate accurate prayer times (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha) for your area.
Determine the Qibla direction (the bearing toward the Kaaba in Mecca).
Your location is processed entirely on your device using astronomical calculations. It is never uploaded to a server or shared with any third party. You can deny or revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings; some prayer-time and Qibla features will then be unavailable.
b) Habit & Prayer Activity
When you check in a habit or prayer, that activity is stored in a local database (Apple SwiftData) on your device. This data powers your Deen Grid, streaks, and statistics.
c) Preferences
Your settings — such as tracked habits, prayer calculation method, selected widget designs, notification toggles, and the Tasbih counter — are stored locally on your device.
3. iCloud Sync (Optional)
If you are signed in to iCloud, your habit data and preferences may be synced privately through your own Apple iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit, so your data stays consistent across your devices.
This data is stored in your private iCloud database, which is controlled by your Apple ID.
We (the developers) cannot access, read, or retrieve this data.
This sync is governed by Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy.
You can disable iCloud sync for SajdaFlow at any time in iOS Settings.
4. Notifications
With your permission, the App schedules local notifications to remind you of prayer times. These reminders are generated and delivered entirely on your device and work offline. No notification data is sent to us.
5. Purchases
SajdaFlow offers optional Premium features through Apple's In-App Purchase system (StoreKit). All payment processing is handled by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment details, credit card numbers, or billing information. Purchase validation is performed through Apple. Your use of purchases is subject to Apple's terms and privacy policy.
6. App Clip
SajdaFlow may offer an App Clip — a lightweight, instant experience launched by scanning a code or tapping a link. The App Clip uses your location (with permission) only to show the Qibla direction and local prayer times for where you are. The App Clip does not store personal data and does not require an account.
7. Children's Privacy
SajdaFlow does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children. Because no personal data is collected, the App is suitable for users of all ages.
8. Data Security
Because your data stays on your device (and, optionally, in your private iCloud), it is protected by Apple's device-level encryption and your iCloud account security. You may permanently delete all of your habit history at any time using Settings → Reset All Data within the App, or by deleting the App.
9. Third-Party Services
SajdaFlow uses the open-source Adhan library to compute prayer times locally on your device. This library performs calculations only and does not transmit any data.
The only platform services used are provided by Apple (iCloud/CloudKit, StoreKit, Notifications), which operate under Apple's own privacy policy.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
