Moni Launcher is a home screen app for Android, published by Moni.
Moni Launcher has no account, no analytics, and no advertising. We do not operate a server that receives your data, and we do not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal information.
Everything the app knows about you — your layout, your icons, your wallpaper, your settings — is stored only in the app's private storage on your device. It is removed when you uninstall the app.
What stays on your device
Your home screen layout — which apps are on which page, folders, and the order you arranged them in.
The list of apps installed on your device. A launcher cannot show your apps without reading which apps exist. This list is used to draw your home screen, the App Library and Search. It is never transmitted.
Your appearance settings — theme, icon style, grid size, dock style, wallpaper choice.
Custom icons and names you set for individual apps.
Photos you choose as a wallpaper or for a photo widget. These are copied into the app's own private storage so the widget keeps working; they are not uploaded anywhere.
Your search history, if you leave that setting on. You can turn it off or clear it at any time in Customize → Search.
Calendar events, if you grant calendar access. They are read to draw the calendar widget, never stored beyond the moment they are drawn, and never transmitted.
Notification information, if you grant notification access. See below.
The one thing that leaves your device
The weather widget needs weather data, and weather data comes from the internet.
When you add a weather widget and choose a city, the app contacts Open-Meteo (https://open-meteo.com):
To find the city, we send the city name you typed.
To get the forecast, we send the coordinates of the city you chose and your device's time zone.
That is the entire contents of the request. We do not send your device identifier, your IP is handled by Open-Meteo as it would be by any website you visit, and there is no account or key tying the request to you.
The app does not request location permission and cannot read your GPS position. The "current location" shown in the weather widget is the city you picked, not a reading from your device.
Open-Meteo is an independent weather service with its own privacy policy: https://open-meteo.com/en/terms
If you never add a weather widget, the app makes no network requests at all.
Notification access
Android exposes music playback controls and notification counts through a single permission: notification access. The app uses it for exactly two things:
Notification badges — counting how many unread notifications an app has, so it can draw a dot or a number on the icon.
The music widget — reading the title, artist and artwork of what is currently playing, and sending play/pause/skip commands.
The app never reads the text or content of your notifications, never stores them, and never transmits them. Notification access is optional. The launcher works fully without it; you simply get no badges and no music widget.
You can revoke it at any time in Android Settings → Notifications → Device & app notifications.
Calendar access
Optional, and used only by the calendar widget to list upcoming events. Access is read-only — the app cannot create, edit or delete anything in your calendar. Revoke it at any time in Android Settings → Apps → Moni Launcher → Permissions.
Why the app can see your installed apps
Moni Launcher requests QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES. This is unavoidable for a home screen replacement: its entire purpose is to display and launch every app you have installed. Google Play permits this permission specifically for launchers. The list is used only to draw the interface on your screen.

Children
Moni Launcher is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Third parties
There are no advertising networks, analytics SDKs, crash reporters or tracking libraries in this app. Open-Meteo, described above, is the only third-party service it ever contacts.
Data deletion
Because nothing is ever sent to us, there is no account to delete and no data on our side to erase. Uninstalling Moni Launcher removes everything it stored on your device. You can also clear it without uninstalling, in Android Settings → Apps → Moni Launcher → Storage → Clear data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. If a future version of the app ever collects anything, that will be stated here before the change ships.
