Welcome to Equity in Action—a practical resource that embeds respect, reflection, diversity, and meaningful change in higher education.
The examples are organised into four main sections, and each is further divided into action-oriented ideas with practice examples.
This website is a consolidation of ideas generated through the paper: “From Sharing to Synergy: Cultivating Inclusive Educational Environments through EDI in CDIO.”, In this paper, the Monash Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Sharing Circle (EDISC) mapped connections and developed examples to illustrate the connections between the Conceive-Design-Implement-Operate (CDIO) framework and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) concept. The mapping process allowed us to generate over four hundred connections and examples. However, there was considerable overlap between many of the ideas. So, this website is a consolidated version of the most directly impactful inclusive teaching practices.
We are a cross-disciplinary group of Educational Designers with experience and expertise in implementing inclusive teaching practice, and we aim to contribute towards cultivating environments that are equitable, inclusive, and support human diversity.
