The Molokai HĀ Design Team will host its 4th Annual ʻAha ʻŌpio o Molokai on Saturday, February 22, 2020. This yearʻs event will conclude with a ʻAha Pūnana Leo Dinner Show that will start at 7:00 pm.
Please join us at the Molokai Community Health Center from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm to support, hear, and see our keiki share their mo'olelo through their exhibition in word, song, dance, or art. Check with your childʻs school on the dates for submission of student work.
The Molokai HĀ Design Team continues to expand with additional community members with the goal to strengthen the 6 HĀ outcomes: Sense of Belonging, Sense of Responsibility, Sense of Excellence, Sense of Aloha, Sense of Total Well-Being, and Sense of Hawai'i.

On Saturday, February 23, 2019, the Molokai Complex will host its 3rd Annual 'Aha 'Ōpio o Molokai with the theme "Molokai No Ka Heke: Ko Kakou Mo'olelo" or "Molokai Mo' Bettah: Our Story. This year's theme resonates with our keiki in connecting with Molokai's wahipana (place).
Please join us at the Molokai High Gymnasium from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm to hear our keiki tell their mo'olelo through their exhibition.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS! On Saturday, April 28, 2018, Molokai L.I.V.E. will host its 2nd Annual Molokai Youth Summit with the theme "E Hui Pū Kākou: Our Island, Our People, Our Vision, Our Kuleana.
Please join us at Kulana ʻŌiwi from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm to hear from the student and community panels on their vision about the islandʻs future. Students from grades K-12 will showcasing their student work.
On behalf of the Native Hawaiian Education Council, the Molokai Island Council embraced the ideals of the Nā Hopena Aʻo Framework or HĀ. The intention was to foster cultural practices by building strong communities through strengthening our Sense of Belonging, Sense of Responsibility, Sense of Excellence, Sense of Aloha, Sense of Total Well-Being, and Sense of Hawai'i.

On Saturday, January 21, 2017, the NHEC Molokai Island Council will host its first Molokai Youth Summit with the theme “Student Voices: Expanding Molokai’s Horizons”. The Youth Summit will be held at Kaunakakai Elementary School from the 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Information for Student Contest, which include descriptions and scoring rubrics for each contest category and the contest registration form. Categories include: Artwork (Pre-K to Grade 12); Video (Pre-K to Grade 12); and Statement (Pre-K to K; Grade 1 to 3) or Essay (Grade 4 to 6; Grade 7 to 12).
