Moline High School Choirs

Ben Holmes

Mr. Holmes received both his undergraduate and master's degree in music education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.  Before coming to MHS, Mr. Holmes served as the director of choirs at Wilson Middle School, Orion High School, and Monmouth United School District. 

Mr. Holmes directs all curricular and extracurricular ensembles at MHS.  Outside of his duties at the High School, he also serves on the faculty at Augustana College where he conducts the Concert Chorale and Ascension Ringers.  Mr. Holmes is an active musician in the Quad Cities performing regularly with the Quad City Choral Artist.  

When not actively making music, Mr. Holmes loves to spend time with his wife (Maureen), daughter (Genevieve), Son (Wilder), and dog (Guinness).
