All the sports CCA students gathered early in the sports hall on Wednesday morning on 1 March, their spirits undampened by the pouring rain. They listened attentively to the Minister for Education, Mr. Chan Chun Sing's uplifting speech on sporting values and opportunities for student athletes. Mr. Keith Tan, our Principal continued to exhort the students on sporting norms and aspirations for the school and delivered his thanks to all committed athletes and their dedicated teachers. With much to reflect on their personal and group sporting goals and beliefs, the students took the National Schools Games (NSG) Athletes Oath in all solemnity and sincerity, led by their sports leaders. It is also a timely reminder to our students of their behaviour as school team players and as spectators during the competition.
It's a promising start to a year of great games, a loud comeback to the quiet Covid years.
On 30 June, we celebrated CCA Recognition Day. On this day, each outgoing leader from every CCA took a moment to share the wisdom they gained through their unique journey as student leaders. They shared insights drawn from their personal experiences, illuminating the path for future leaders.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to all our student leaders. Your remarkable contributions and leadership have been instrumental in nurturing your peers. Through your guidance, you've equipped them with vital skills, core values, and the right attitude, fostering their growth into active contributors to both their respective CCAs and the school.
