Look at how Lisa and Rose complete their SIL journey!
HBL Day 1 - Lisa goes to the SEAB website to look for the syllabuses for both Biology and Physics. She looks through the topics that interest her and fills in Section 1 of her "My SIL Journey" Google Classroom worksheet.
HBL Day 2 - Lisa searches and watches Youtube videos of the different systems in the human body. She has learnt some of these before in school, and notes down new and interesting facts that she has learnt and takes some screenshots.
HBL Day 3 & 4 - Lisa found a Physics website and tries out some simple Physics experiments at home, as well as some online simulations. She takes videos while having fun doing the experiments.
HBL Day 5 - Jane puts together fun facts from Biology that she has learnt with snippets of the videos from the Physics experiments she filmed into a single video clip on her phone. She posts it on the class shareboard and completes the module by completing Section 2 of her "My SIL Journey" Google Classroom worksheet. She then scrolls to look through what her classmates have done.
HBL Day 1 - Rose looks through the curated resources provided in the "How to Get Started" tab on the home page. She sieves through the different links and decides that she would explore the idea of minorities and how they live in Singapore. Once she has made her decision, she fills in Section 1 of her "My SIL Journey" Google Classroom worksheet.
HBL Day 2 - Rose watches the documentary series "Regardless of Race", a series of dialogues discussing about race relations. She jots down points which she finds interesting and thought-provoking and reflects upon them.
HBL Day 3 - Rose reads some articles about discrimination in Singapore by landlords when renting places. She looks back at what she has reflected previously and adds on to it.
HBL Day 4 - Rose reads up on policies that the Government implements to mitigate the issues faced by minorities in Singapore. She reflects on how she, as an individual, could be more mindful to such issues when interacting with her friends from minority races.
HBL Day 5 - Rose summarises her learning points in a short video clip and posts it on the class shareboard. She completes the module by completing Section 2 of her "My SIL Journey" Google Classroom worksheet. She then scrolls to look through what her classmates have done.
