SingPass Registration
Students who fulfill the following requirements are highly encouraged to register for a Singpass account.
Requirements:
You are at least 15 years old; and
You are a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident or Foreign Identification Number (FIN) holder
Why register for Singpass?
Singpass is every Singapore resident's trusted digital identity for easy and secure access to over 2,000 government and private sector services online and in person.
Users can log in to digital services, prove their identity over counters, digitally sign documents and do more with the improved Singpass.
One such services is the application for admission to courses offered by the Institute of Technical Education (ITE), or the Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP) Admission Exercise.
Students can use Singpass to apply to ITE via the JIE, or to the PFP.
For this purpose, students are highly encouraged to register for a Singpass account early, preferably by end July.
How to Register for Singpass?
You can register for a Singpass account by following these steps below:
Step 1: Visit the Singpass Portal at go.gov.sg/singpass-login > Select ‘Services’ > Select ‘Register for Singpass’
Step 2: Follow the instructions to set up your account instantly with Singpass Face Verification. Your face scans will be compared against the government’s biometric database to verify your identity.

Refer to the Instructional Guide at www.singpass.gov.sg/home/ui/support for step-by-step instructions on how to register for a Singpass account and set up your Singpass app (for smartphone users). The Singpass app lets you log in to services using your fingerprint, face or a six digit passcode.
How to Reset Singpass Password?
If you have created a Singpass account previously, you can use it to access the JIE application portal or the PFP application portal.
If you have forgotten your password, you may perform a password reset via the Singpass Portal at go.gov.sg/singpass-login > Select ‘Reset password’.
Alternatively, you may choose to ‘Request for a One-Time Password PIN mailer’. This PIN mailer will be mailed to your registered address stated on your NRIC/FIN card within 3 working days. If the address on your NRIC/FIN card is outdated, you may update it with the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority at www.ica.gov.sg/documents/ic/update_residential_address before you request the PIN mailer and the information will be reflected in Singpass within one working day.
