You may either scan the QR Code below or click on the link provided to fill up the online form.
Please submit this form by Thursday, 19 December 2024, 12.00 pm. You can also indicate your attendance for The Hildan Torch and Sec 1 Parent Engagement on 10 January 2025 and 17 January 2025 respectively in the online form.

The Sec 1 Parent Engagement is conducted to help you better understand the subjects and the learning experiences at secondary school as well as the briefing on the National Digital Literacy Programme.

Please note that all students are to purchase the name tags (6 pieces at $7.10 for school uniform only) on the book store website.

Any exchange is to be done at school bookshop from 2 January 2025 onwards when school re-opens. Proof of online purchase is required and items to be exchanged are to be in original condition.

Students on financial assistance will be contacted by the General Office to receive the books on 27 December 2024. You do not need to place any order online.

Completed form with supporting documents is to be submitted via email to shss@moe.edu.sg, or to the school's General Office. Incomplete application form or attachments will not be considered.

Applicants who do not qualify for MOE FAS, may be considered for the School-based SMC-Financial Assistance Scheme. Approval is granted on case-by-case basis.

Offering Subjects at More Demanding Level (for PG 1 & 2 only)

Sec 1 students posted to PG 1 and PG 2 may be offered subjects at a more demanding level, based on their PSLE subject grades.
Parents may choose to accept or reject the offer.
Eligible students would receive the notification via PG on 18 December 2024 and clarifications will be communicated during the briefing sessions.

Mother Tongue LANGUAGE & 3rd Language

Refer to Eligibility Letter given with S1 Option Form

1) Higher Mother Tongue Language (HMTL)

Eligible students may exercise their HMTL option through SHSS. Additional information will be sent via PG.

Please note the lesson venue for the following subjects:

Higher Chinese: St. Hilda's Sec School
Higher Malay: Temasek Sec / Tanjong Katong Sec
Higher Tamil: Pasir Ris Crest Sec / Umar Pulavar Tamil Language Centre (2 Beatty Road, S209954)

2) Third Language/Mother Tongue In-lieu: Foreign / Asian / Special Programme

School will inform successful S1 students of their 3rd Language application outcome
Eligible students are to register through SHSS to get a placement in MOELC. More details will be communicated to parents.

Music & Art Elective Programmes

In-depth learning in art forms, media, processes, history, theory and criticism
To be taken one afternoon a week at NJC.

Music Elective Programme (MEP) https://www.moe.gov.sg/education-in-sg/our-programmes/mep-sec

4-year Music programme that prepares students for GCE O-Level Higher Music
In-depth learning in musical genres and traditions, processes, theory and performance
To be taken one afternoon a week at at Dunman High School or Anglo-Chinese School (Independent)

Important note: Successful applicants will not be offered Design & Technology (D&T) and Food and Consumer Education (FCE) at the Lower Secondary Level, and hence will not be able to take D&T and FCE at Upper Secondary Level.

Interested students are to apply by submitting an online application form accessible via the MOE AEP/MEP websites on their own from 2 to 15 January 2025.

An e-portfolio of artworks (for AEP) or a recorded video performance (for MEP) will be required with the application. Students will be briefed on the applications during Sec 1 Orientation and may seek the advice of Subject Head Aesthetics (peh_hui_wen_jasmine@moe.edu.sg) prior to application, on the suitability of their e-portfolio or video performance.
