Artist’s Statement: It is Nan Hua Primary School's 105th Anniversary this year. I have designed this paper bag using marbling dye. The colours in the background reminds me of Paddle Pop ice cream. I also included some mini fireworks in my design. I called them "Sparks of Joy" as it represents my feelings when I am doing Art. It makes me feel calm and relaxed.

Artist’s Statement: The idea for some of the balloons came from my birthday. Every year, there are always balloons at my and my brother’s birthdays. The different colours of the balloons always remind me of the rainbow and calm me down. The title of the artwork was inspired by Nan Hua’s 105th birthday. I took the first letter of each number Hundred And Fifth, which was HAF and combined it with part of my name EL to form HAFEL.

In my design, I have included an iconic feature of Nan Hua Primary School - the old bell, which had served the school for many years. In the past, this old bell was used to signal the end of school and the exchange of classes. It is amazing to learn about our school heritage through this symbol. Happy 105th Anniversary, Nan Hua!
