Sec 1 Orientation

We welcomed our Secondary One students to our big Hillgrove Family on 2nd January 2024. The activities during the 3 day Sec 1 Orientation program was an opportunity for the new Sec 1 Hillgrovians to bond and familiarise themselves with Hillgrove.  Our Student Councillors were a great help carrying out the orientation activities.  On the first day, the Principal addressed and introduced the Hillgrove culture to our Secondary One students.  Then there were critical briefings by certain Heads of department such as on discipline, CCA, timetabling, distinctive programmes and level information.

Throughout the Sec 1 Orientation students participated in activities such as treasure hunt, ice-breakers, setting up their ICT accounts.  The orientation finale was carried out with anticipation of each class’s cheers and prizes were given out for notable Sec 1 students and classes.

The highlight of the programme was a formal induction ceremony where form teachers put on the collar pin for the students under their charge to welcome them officially to the Hillgrove family.
