In February, our school commemorated Total Defence Day with a series of engaging and meaningful activities for students. We were honoured to welcome Tay Kheng Chuang, ME4 from the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF), who shared with students about the importance of Total Defence and how every individual plays a role in keeping Singapore strong and resilient. Students participated actively in quizzes during the talk and were rewarded with prizes for their enthusiastic responses.
Students also visited the Total Defence Games Booth, where they completed a range of activities related to the six pillars of Total Defence. These included solving crossword puzzles, identifying examples of fake news, and naming major landmarks in Singapore.
Our Secondary 2 students also took part in the “Guardians of the City” inter-class card game competition, which encouraged teamwork and strategic thinking. Congratulations to Keion from Class 2-1 for emerging as the overall winner!
The activities concluded with a Power Disruption Exercise, which reminded students and staff of the importance of electricity in our daily lives and encouraged everyone to think about how we can adapt during disruptions.
Thank you to all staff and students for making Total Defence Month a meaningful and memorable experience.
