Because FAMILY matters! It is extremely rewarding and enjoyable to be a parents, but it is not always easy. It can often be demanding, frustrating and exhausting. Parents have the important role of raising the next generation, yet most of us begin our parenting careers unprepared for what lies ahead, and learn through trial and error. The challenge for all parents is to raise healthy, well-adjusted children in a loving, predictable environment.

There is no single right way to be a parent. Ultimately, it is up to you as a parent to decide which values, skills and behaviours you wants to encourage in your child and to develop your own approach to dealing with your child's behaviour.

Endeavour Primary School has been on board the School Family Education (SFE) back in 2010. Since then many parents have benefitted from the various educational and interactive programmes that were conducted. The programme has since evolved to FamilyMatters@School.

FamilyMatters@School (FMS) works closely with schools, parent support groups and parent volunteers to equips parents with skills to nurture positive family relationships through family life education programmes and resources that help them enhance the quality of family life. FMS programmes include talks to equip parents with effective parenting skills and workshops which provide bonding opportunities between parents and child.

The fathering movement in Singapore started in November 2009 with a bold mission by Dad for Life to ‘inspire, mobilise and involve fathers to become good influencer in their children’s lives for life.’ The movement has gained traction over the years with extensive outreach into close to 300 schools and approximately 3,000 fathers per year.
