The annual International Elementz Fair (formerly known as Elementz Science Research Conference and Exhibition) aims to encourage students to venture into the world of research and discovery. It is a platform for Upper Secondary and Junior College students to showcase their primary and secondary scientific research, and prototypes which can contribute to the betterment of society.
The 25th International Elementz Fair was featured as a key event in our 3-day ASRJC S.T.E.A.M. Conference which was held from 16th to 18th April 2024. The S.T.E.A.M. Conference aims to let students appreciate the integration of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics through talks, workshops and learning journeys.

24th International Elementz Fair
18 April 2023
The 24th International Elementz Fair was featured as a key event in our 3-day ASRJC S.T.E.A.M. Conference which was held from 18th to 20th April 2023. The S.T.E.A.M. Conference aims to let students appreciate the integration of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics through talks, workshops and learning journeys.
To provide participants with a more engaging and holistic STEM learning experience, two STEM workshops (drones and spectroscopy) were held prior to the final judging on 5th and 12th April 2023, which we invited students from our N5 cluster secondary schools and several other secondary schools participating in Elementz Fair to join.

What we have done
During pre-Covid times, our International Elementz Fair used to be conducted physically in the hall of our campus. Since 2020, we have switched to online format. In view of the overseas schools which are participating in our Elementz Fair, we have decided to go with a hybrid Elementz Fair experience: online judging and face-to-face STEM workshops.
24th International Elementz Fair conducted online using our Elementz Lab as a venue for our teacher and student facilitators
Final Judging conducted online during 24th International Elementz Fair
Drones workshop organised on 5th April as part of a more holistic STEM learning experience
Spectroscopy workshop organised on 12th April
Online Presentation Skills Workshop
The online presentation skills workshop was successfully concluded on 27th Jan 2021. The workshops serves to help participants with the Final Judging.
We thank our presenters Mr Lam Meng Hwee, Mrs Lim Li Ting, and Mrs Chai Chung Mun for sharing tips on how to do an effective and clear presentation, as well as how to record a video using different platforms. If you missed our workshop, please view our recorded video below.
We thank the following schools which attended our inaugural online workshop:
(Local Schools) Anderson Secondary School, Chung Cheng High Yishun, Compassvale Secondary School, Edgefield Secondary School, Fuhua Secondary School, Kranji Secondary School, Nan Chiau High School, Orchid Park Secondary School, Raffles Girls' School, Regent Secondary School, St Joseph's Institution, and Temasek Junior College,
(Thailand School) Mahidol Wittayanusorn School,
(Vietnam Schools) Bui Thi Xuan High School, and the Vinschool group of schools.
Science Research Skills Workshop
The science research skills workshop was successfully concluded on 3rd May 2023. The workshop serves to equip students with essential skills in doing science research and writing a science research report.
We thank our presenter Mdm Resma for conducting the workshop. Please feel free to view the recorded video below.
STEM Academy Workshops 2023
ASRJC conducted three STEM enrichment workshops for our students earlier this year. The aim was to allow students to explore STEM beyond the curriculum, even if they are not studying the corresponding subject. ASRJC would like to share the lesson plans with your school.
1. Impossible Balance - Explore "Stability" through the making of "impossible structures"
2. The Hot and Cold of it - Design a thermal pack and explore the chemistry of it
3. The World of DNA - Explore DNA through DNA extraction
We hope that your school can also conduct the workshops for your students. The resources can be found in the following link: https://tinyurl.com/asrjcstemacademy2023
