The Secondary One Registration process is entirely online. Please DO NOT come to the school physically for registration. The designated primary contact of your child will receive a notification on Parents Gateway (PG) from Thursday, 21 December or an email from AHS if you have no access to PG. To complete the registration, please ACKNOWLEDGE the PG notification or reply to the email. 


Students who are on or applying for MOE FAS are to contact the school’s General Office at 6241 4866. DO NOT purchase your school uniform and books yet.

Please DO NOT purchase any computing devices yet. The school will provide you with more information on the Personalised Digital Learning Programme (PDLP) sometime in January 2024.

Start of School Matters

1. Reporting time and attire on First Day of school 

All Sec One students are to report to school on 2 Jan 2024, Tuesday, between 7.00 am to 7.20 am. Parents/Guardians will only be allowed to drop off your child/ward outside the school gates.

Please note that the finalised class allocation of students will be reflected on Parents’ Gateway on 2 Jan 2024. Students will report in Full AHS or Full Primary School Uniform. Students may also check their allocated classes outside the General Office before proceeding to their respective classrooms for attendance taking by the Form Teachers. 

There will be friendly Student Councilors to welcome the students to school and show them where to check their classes and the location of their classrooms. 

 2. Summary of Orientation Programme (2, 3, 4, 5 January 2024) 

3. Sec 1 Memento Ceremony and Parents' Conference on 5 January (Friday), 3.00 pm to 5.30 pm.

During the face to face Parents' Conference, parents will be hearing from our Principal, Mr Lim, and our key personnel. The Parents' Conference in the Main Hall will conclude with a special segment where parents will present the AHS Memento to their child. Thereafter,  parents will have the opportunitiy to interact with the Sec 1 Form Teachers in the respective classrooms.   


Sale of School Uniform

For students on Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS) or applying for FAS, please DO NOT purchase the school uniform and textbooks yet. Kindly contact our school’s General Office at 6241 4866 for more information and assistance.

Sale of Textbooks

The first week of January has been set aside for the Sec One Orientation Programme. Lessons will only commence from the second week of January.

Additional Support for Students

In AHS, we care deeply for the well-being of our students. We encourage parents of students with medical concerns, special educational needs or who may require counselling support to connect with the school early so that we can better support your child.

2. Student Lockers

Student lockers are available for rental from January to October 2024.  More information will be provided in January 2024.

3. Students' Accident Protection Scheme

All our students are covered with a basic Accident Insurance Plan from NTUC Income Insurance Co-operative Ltd effective from 2nd Jan 2024. Please see information below for the accident claim procedure.

· Submit your medical expenses claims through the e-claim portal https://studentgpa.incomegroupins.com.sg/. No login user or password is required.

·        Call NTUC Income at 63462663 or Miss Su @90220777 for queries regarding claims.

Transport Matters

Anglican High School does not engage any school bus vendors. Any arrangement will be between the bus vendor and student.

1. AHS is easily accessible. We are within walking distance from Tanah Merah MRT Station.

2. If you are taking a public bus, you can alight at the following locations (correct as of 15 Nov 2023):

• Along New Upper Changi Road (The Tanamera Condominium): Bus 2, 9, 14, 24, 25, 31, 35, 45, 46, 545

• Along New Upper Changi Road (Tanah Merah Station Exit B): Bus 2, 9, 12, 14, 24, 31, 35, 38, 45, 47, 48

• Along Bedok North Road : Bus 14, 46, 222, 545

• Along Bedok North Ave 4: 17, 18, 545

• Along Bedok Road: 2, 9 , 10 , 48, 531

The opening hours for our Side Gates during School Term are as follows:

• Monday to Friday: 6.45am to 7.45am; 1.30 pm to 6.30 pm (Exit Only)

• Please note that the Side Gates are closed On Saturday, Sunday, Public Holiday and School Holidays

3. If you are driving your child to school, please consider using other drop off points to reduce congestion at the main school gate. (Refer to the other two drop-off points, DP2 and DP4.)

4. Please be informed that all students entering Sec One in Jan 2024 will be issued with a new Secondary level School Smart Card (SSC) by Apr 2024. While waiting for their Secondary level SSCs to be ready,  students can continue to use their Primary level SSCs for concessionary travel till end Apr 2024. Students can still purchase the Bus Concession Pass (BCP) for Secondary School students using their Primary level SSCs

SEC 1 APPEALS

Primary 6 students who are not posted to Anglican High School (AHS) may appeal to be considered for transfer to AHS via the AHS Appeal Form here. These students appealing for admission to AHS at Secondary 1 in 2024 have to meet the school’s cut-off points (COP).

Note:

Students admitted to a school through the DSA-Sec Exercise will not be allowed to transfer to another school after the release of the PSLE results. They are expected to honour the commitment to the posted DSA school for the duration of the programme admitted to.

Application period

The application period is from the day of release of Secondary 1 Posting results to 27 December 2023, 1200 hours.

Only shortlisted applicants will be informed.

Frequently-Asked-Questions (FAQ)

Q1: Do we need to report to AHS on 20 December 2023 for Sec 1 Registration?

A: You DO NOT need to physically report to AHS for Registration.  Sec 1 Registration is fully ONLINE via Parents Gateway.

    If you intend to collect the textbooks you have purchased, please refer to the information under Sale of Textbooks above. 


Q2: What are the critical information to note for Sec 1 Registration and Reporting?

Q3: My child did not receive the HCL Eligibility Letter from MOE. Can my child appeal to read HCL in Sec 1? 

A: The eligibility criteria for HMTL for MOE is as follows:

Students who do well in CL at Sec 1 and display passion in learning the subject will be given the opportunity to read HCL from Sec 2 onwards. Please encourage your child to continue to work hard in CL and let the CL teacher know your child's desire to take HCL in Sec 2 so that the teacher could offer assistance and advice.

Q5: Where can I find more information about the Financial Assistance Scheme?
