CREATIVE TIKTOK SHOP COMPETITION RULES AND GUIDELINES

OVERVIEW

The ELite Carnival will be held from the 24th-26th July 2024. During the carnival, IPBArians are invited to set up a booth. If you are interested in running a booth, please contact the Social Science Department. 

In line with the carnival, the promoting and selling of food, merchandise, products, services, etc. via a promotional TikTok video and the booth must be conducted in English. The use of the English Language to highlight and showcase the participant's booth as creatively as possible is the aim in this competition. 

PARTICIPANTS

This competition is open and compulsory for all students and staff of IPGKBA who have registered for a booth. 

GUIDELINES

There will be TWO parts of the evaluation: a) promotional TikTok video    b) Booth Evaluation

a) TikTok video guidelines 

• All TikTok entries MUST use the English Language as a means to highlight your products/services. 

• The use of TikTok App is a must – please make sure it is set to PUBLIC before submission.

• Marketing of your booth must include your booth name, the poster and the products/services that you are advertising

• The maximum duration of the TikTok video is 20 seconds           

• Submit only ONE TikTok entry per booth

b) Booth evaluation guidelines:

• The use of English Language to communicate is a MUST. 

• Participants should use their booths to showcase their products/services as creatively as possible. 

• Participants must prepare a poster in English to promote their products/services.

• Booth managers must use English in explaining the services/products to the audience as well as the judges. 

• Marks would be awarded for the use of English throughout the event

• Evaluation will follow the rubrics provided in the judging form.

Booth Evaluation (judged on 25th July 2024)

 Booth presentation 

- creativity in arranging products/displaying services

- use of English Language – both in selling/promoting products/services

- how well product/services in booth match TikTok video's description

Judges' decision is final.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE

Submit your competition entry forms by 4.30 pm, 24 July 2024 (Wednesday).

Late entries will not be entertained. 

CLOSING CEREMONY VENUE AND DATE

IPGKBA Campus on Friday, 26 July 2024

CERTIFICATES

All participants will receive an e-certificate of participation to be sent to the email address indicated in the competition entry form.

PRIZES

Trophies will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners.

The prize giving ceremony will be held on Friday, 26 July 2024.
