Dr. Swapna Sameer Bhavsar is the Head of the Department of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning at PES’s Modern College of Engineering, Pune. She has been associated with the institute since 2005 and has over 22 years of teaching experience. She holds a Ph.D. in Data Mining and Machine Learning, along with a Master’s degree in Computer Networks and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering. Her expertise includes Database Management Systems, Advanced Databases, and Distributed Computing. She has guided more than 50 student projects. She has actively contributed to several academic and administrative responsibilities, including serving as NBA Coordinator, NAAC Criteria Coordinator, member of the Program Assessment and Quality Improvement Committee, Feedback Coordinator, and Activity Coordinator. She is a Lifetime Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE).
