Milan Ravindra Shetake is a faculty member in the Department of Computer Engineering at PES’s Modern College of Engineering, Pune, since December 2024.

I completed my Master’s degree in Computer Engineering in 2015 from Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Pune University, Pune, and my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering in 2011 from Shivaji University, Kolhapur.

An experienced and passionate professional, I have 8.5 years of teaching experience in Computer Science and Engineering, along with 1 year of industry experience as a Software Engineer in Data Science.

My expertise lies in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Science, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Programming, Data Structures & Algorithms, and emerging technologies. My research interests include deep learning for computer vision and natural language processing (NLP).

I have published research papers in international journals and conferences, focusing on machine learning applications in video retrieval and data mining. Additionally, I actively participate in faculty development programs (FDPs), workshops, and webinars to stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and Data Science. I have also completed various NPTEL certifications.

I am committed to fostering innovation-driven learning by incorporating hands-on AI model development. My teaching methodology integrates industry-standard tools, ensuring students gain practical exposure.

With a strong passion for mentoring students in competitive coding, and AI applications, I actively guide students in coding competitions, and technical challenges.
