I currently am a Literacy Instructional Coach in Hinesburg, Vermont.

In the past, I taught humanities in a multi-age classroom of 5th and 6th graders at a rural Kindergarten to 6th-grade elementary school. 

I also teach graduate courses for educators and have a passion for weaving literacy through all subjects. 

I first learned about the Modern Classrooms Project in the spring of 2020 and began my journey with the free course. I was hooked! I launched my Modern Classroom In both my humanities classes In the fall of 2020. Within a few months, I used the model for my science class as well. In the spring of 2022, I became an Expert Mentor, and I honestly can't ever imagine going back to traditional teaching!

When not at school, you can find me spending time with my family and dog, cross-country skiing or mountain biking, and getting cozy with a good historical fiction novel.
