I currently teach 10th Grade English 2 and 11th Grade American Literature. I am also the English Department Chair at Abraham Lincoln High School in the San Francisco Unified School District.
I first learned about the Modern Classrooms Project through an article from Facebook that shared five different forms of self-pacing in education. I became a DMCE in February 2022, but I worked on the application and rolled out the model for an entire semester before submitting!Â
One thing I love about MCP is the sustainability it creates for the students and me, allowing us to practice time management while also engaging in enriching lessons and discussions.
When not at school, you can find me playing video games on Twitch, taking/editing photos and videos, rock climbing, skiing, or spending time with my partner in Long Beach, CA, and walking our dog.
