Alchemy Wreath & Poinsettia Sale: This is an annual fundraiser for our team to help defer the cost of trips. We hope to be taking some field trips in the spring. Students have order forms or print it out and send it in with a check. Alternatively you can enter your order on this google form and send in a check with your student,

Hannah Lindsey--Language Arts and Social Studies

Hannah grew up on in the Seattle area and came to Vermont to attend UVM. She loves encouraging students to challenge themselves and explore their creativity. Hannah enjoys using technology to engage students and discover their strengths. She has a passion for the arts, and during her spare moments you can find her curled up with a book, creating a new art project, or exploring the great outdoors of Vermont with her husband and their rescue dog, Kiki.

Dave Jensen--Math and Science

Teaching is a second career for Mr. Jensen after working for 20 years at IBM. He has a mechanical engineering degree and worked designing industrial material handling systems, selling and supporting computer systems and implementing large scale software systems. He likes the connection between math and science and uses his practical work experience to answer the age old question, "Why do we need to learn this?"

Mr. Jensen loves to run and has completed several Marathons. In the fall he coaches the CHMS cross country team. In the winter he loves to ski and in the summer he can be found out on his road or mountain bike. He has two grown children and lives with his wife, Jeanne, in Hinesburg.

Christine Callahan--Special Educator

Christine grew up in New Jersey and moved to Vermont to attend UVM in 1997. She's been a special educator at CHMS for 15 years, currently co-teaching Language Arts on the Grit and Summit teams. She enjoys motivating students to realize their potential as learners and positive community members, and particularly appreciates the personal growth students experience during their 7th and 8th grade years. When she's not at work, she enjoys gardening, running and spending time with her family in Burlington.

Alicia English--Special Educator

Alicia grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and is a full time Pittsburgh sports enthusiast. She attended UVM and returned to VT after spending some time teaching in the Pittsburgh area. Alicia is passionate about encouraging all students to find enjoyment in their learning. She enjoys co-teaching with Mr. Jensen in all Grit math classes. In her free time, she can be found coaching freestyle skiing, attempting to keep her house plants alive and spending time with her cat, Roary.
