Do you like to take things apart to see how they work or try to fix them? Are you interested in pursuing a career as a technician, computer aided drafter, engineer, or any engineering related field? This class is a great place to start. You will gain hands-on experience with 3D modeling, blueprint reading and creation, 3D printing, laser engraving, robotics, drones, mechanical power systems, fluid power systems, basic electricity, CNC machining, composites (carbon fiber), and more! Certification opportunities include: Solidworks and OSHA 10. Apprenticeships are also available: These students get paid, earn high school credits, earn college credits, and gain valuable work experience at a local business all at the same time!
Students can earn up to 15 tech prep college credits through BBCC.
You earn a total of three credits for this year long course--Up to 3 occupational or elective credits in combination with the following: 0.5 art credit, 1 tech math or geometry credit, and 1 tech science credit
