Do you have a passion for cars? Are you interested in following a career path in the automotive industry? If so, this course is for you. Auto Tech coursework includes both theory and hands-on training with hoists, computerized wheel aligners, tire mounting and balancing machines, engine rebuilding and the latest in handheld meters, scan tools and lab scopes. You will learn how to maintain and tune-up as well as diagnose and repair vehicles. The course is taught by an ASE Certified Technician. You are also taught to demonstrate professionalism and follow safety procedures in the auto service industry. *Auto shop is located at an off site location. Students earn OSHA 10 certification and 2 BBCC credits for first aid/CPR certification.
You earn a total of three credits for this year long course--Up to 3 occupational or elective credits. Part of the 3 credits earned can be 0.5 tech science credit.
