Class overview

Welcome to fifth grade! Fifth grade is really interesting and fun! Starting the year with distance learning will be new for all of us. I am going to try to get to know you as best as I can from a distance, with the hope that eventually, we can return to school. However we are learning, whether it is distantly or in the class, we will be learning how to organize our writing, be strategic readers, spell correctly, and how to use new vocabulary words in ELA. In history we will be learning about the United States and our amazing Constitution. In math we will be learning how to multiply and divide whole numbers, decimals, and fractions, just to name a few skills. We will learn about life, physical, earth and space science and much more in science class. I am looking forward to getting to know you and learning together! It will be an awesome year!
