About Me

I have total 27 years of experience. This includes teaching and research contribution at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Currently I am guiding four PhD students. My areas of research are Data Mining and Machine Learning, Cognitive Computing, Human Machine Interaction, Artificial Intelligence.

I have received awards and recognition during my teaching / research career. I have received funding for various research projects. I am heading the Department of Computer Engineering at MIT, Pune for last 10 years.




Educational Background

  • PhD in Computer Engineering - title of dissertation is "Effective Learning and Classification using Random Forest Algorithm" from SPPU (formerly University of Pune), Pune, India in year 2015

  • Masters in Computer Engineering from College of Engineering, Pune, India with dissertation topic as "Knowledge Management" in year 2002

  • Bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering from Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli, India in year 1991
