Nakre Hills is located in the village called Nakre, Karkala Taluk of Udupi District, Karnataka. It is raising to a height of 1500 feet above sea level. Karkala is a well-known town in this region, which serves as a central point for visitors traveling to Nakre Hills.

Route from Karkala Town to Nakre Hills:

1. Start at Karkala Town Center (around the bus stand or the main square).
   
   

2. Head towards NH169 (National Highway 169) — This is the primary highway connecting Karkala to other parts of Udupi and nearby regions.
   
   

3. Drive on NH169 for a few kilometers, following signs for Karkala-Bantwal Road.
   
   

4. Take a left turn towards Nakre Hills or follow local road signs. The route is scenic, with views of lush greenery and small villages along the way.

ಪಶ್ಚಿಮಘಟ್ಟಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ನಕ್ರೆ ಹಿಲ್ಸ್ ತನ್ನ ಅಬ್ಬರದ ನೈಸರ್ಗಿಕ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಮಹತ್ವಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಶಾಂತಿಯುತ ಪರಿಸರ, ಜೈವಿಕ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯಮಯತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರ್ಕಳದ ಸಮೀಪವಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ, ಇದು ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಹೇರೀಟೇಜ್ ಸ್ಥಳವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಕಾರ್ಕಳದ ಜೈನ ದೇವಾಲಯಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಗಳು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಗುರುತಿನ ಚಿಹ್ನೆಗಳಾಗಿವೆ. ನಕ್ರೆ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಕಳದಷ್ಟೆ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಿಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೂ, ಈ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಜೈನ ಧರ್ಮದ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಮತ್ತು ಯಾತ್ರಾ ಸ್ಥಳದ ಪಾತ್ರವು ಇದರ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಮೌಲ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.

ನಕ್ರೆ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಉಡುಪಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಕಳ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕಿನ ನಕ್ರೆ ಎಂಬ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಇವೆ. ಸಮುದ್ರ ಮಟ್ಟದಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು 1500 ಅಡಿಗಳ ಎತ್ತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದು ಸ್ಥಿತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಕಾರ್ಕಳ ಈ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ನಕ್ರೆ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳಿಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡುವ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಗರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಬಿಂದುವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.

2. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿ NH169 ಕಡೆಗೆ ಸಾಗಿಸಿ — ಇದು ಕಾರ್ಕಳವನ್ನು ಉಡುಪಿಯ ಇತರ ಭಾಗಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸುವ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿ.
   
   

3. NH169 ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು ಕಿಲೋಮೀಟರ್‌ಗಳು ಸಾಗಿದ ನಂತರ, ಕಾರ್ಕಳ-ಬಂಟ್ವಾಳ ರಸ್ತೆಯ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಗಿರಿ.
   
   

4. ನಕ್ರೆ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಎಡಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಅಥವಾ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಪಥದ ಸೂಚನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ. ಈ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಹಸಿರು ಪರಿಸರ ಮತ್ತು ಸಣ್ಣ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಾಗುವ ಸುಂದರ ನೋಟಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
   
   

5. ನಂತರ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ರಸ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ ನಕ್ರೆ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳ ತಳಭಾಗವನ್ನು ತಲುಪುತ್ತೀರಿ. ಈ ರಸ್ತೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಅಗಲವಿಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೂ ಸಹ, ಸರಿ ಹಾದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಹಗುರವಾದ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
   
   

6. ನಕ್ರೆ ಬೆಟ್ಟ ತಲುಪಿದ ಮೇಲೆ, ಪರಿಸರ ಶಾಂತವಾಗಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯಿಂದ ಆವೃತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕರ್ಷಕ ನೋಟಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸಬಹುದು.
