Achakanya waterfall is a great destination for trekkers. Situated in the middle of a forest, the waterfall presents a challenge to the trekkers to find it. There are no marked ways or routes to reach the waterfall. One has to either find the way through the forest or take the help of locals to locate the site. Signboards mentioning anything about the waterfall can be found on the way to the site. Hence, it is difficult to find the waterfall.

 However, the wonderful view of the waterfall and the surrounding areas is worth the effort of trekking to the site. In fact, trekking to the waterfall can be an experience in itself as the trek route proceeds through the forest and provides an opportunity to observe the varied flora of the region from close range.

ಅಚಕನ್ಯ ಜಲಪಾತವು ಚಾರಣಿಗರಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಉತ್ತಮ ತಾಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ಕಾಡಿನ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಈ ಜಲಪಾತವು ಚಾರಣಿಗರಿಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವುದು ಒಂದು ಸವಾಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಜಲಪಾತವನ್ನು ತಲುಪಲು ಯಾವುದೇ ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾದ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳು ಅಥವಾ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಿಲ್ಲ. ಕಾಡಿನ ಮೂಲಕ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಅಥವಾ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಲು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರ ಸಹಾಯವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಬೇಕು. ಜಲಪಾತದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಏನನ್ನಾದರೂ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸುವ ಫಲಕಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಬಹುದು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಜಲಪಾತವನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿಯುವುದು ಕಷ್ಟ.

ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ, ಜಲಪಾತ ಮತ್ತು ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳ ಅದ್ಭುತ ನೋಟವು ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಚಾರಣ ಮಾಡುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ವಾಸ್ತವವಾಗಿ, ಚಾರಣ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಕಾಡಿನ ಮೂಲಕ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯುವುದರಿಂದ ಮತ್ತು ಈ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯಮಯ ಸಸ್ಯವರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿರದಿಂದ ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಲು ಅವಕಾಶವನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ಜಲಪಾತಕ್ಕೆ ಚಾರಣ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಸ್ವತಃ ಒಂದು ಅನುಭವವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.

ಹಸಿರಿನ ಮೂಲಕ ಚಾರಣ ಮಾಡುವಾಗ ಕೆಲವು ಬಗೆಯ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ಕಾಣಬಹುದು.
