BOLLE FALLS AND NEERATHANA FALLS

To trek to Neerathana Falls roughly 18 km from the Belthangady city through Savanal road and from Savanal it is approximately 8 km. Hikers enjoy the easy-to-moderate path through dense forests, vibrant greenery, and small streams, which offer refreshing breaks and scenic views, culminating in the serene, cascading falls perfect for relaxation.

Bolle Falls, located near Beltangady in Karnataka’s Western Ghats, is an unexplored gem ideal for trekking enthusiasts and nature lovers. This waterfall, cascading from a height of approximately 45–50 feet, is surrounded by lush greenery, dense forests, and scenic plantations, offering a serene escape. The trek to Bolle Falls, roughly 14 km round trip, starts from Killur village and passes through paddy fields, streams, and rocky trails, often with leeches during the monsoon. The falls are most accessible via a mud road from Killur, and local guidance (e.g., from the “Bolle Mane” family) is recommended due to the unclear final 1.5 km stretch. The waterfall’s chilly waters and tranquil setting make it a rewarding destination, though visitors should prepare for limited facilities and carry essentials like food and anti-leech protection. The best time to visit is during or just after the monsoon (June–September) for a fuller flow, but the trail can be challenging in heavy rain.
