Through this exhibition, I wish to be in touch with the audience, conveying my emotions and experiences through art. The theme that surrounds my artworks in this exhibition is the pursuit of happiness. For me, happiness is not a one-time thing and it takes a lot of time and effort to reach this state. What I want to portray with this theme is not the emotion of happiness itself, but the journey to find happiness including the good and the bad. Over the course of making the exhibited artworks, I am also in my own journey of finding happiness. My everyday experiences and influences are all poured in these artworks, which makes them very real and personal. During this exhibition, I hope to learn more from these artworks, even more so after I created it, through the eyes of the audience and not just through mine. I created these artworks in hope that the audience will be able to understand the importance of the process of slowly transitioning from a very dark place to a better one. Through these art, I also wish to explore the grim and taboo topic of life, death, and time.

I am very grateful for the opportunity of exhibiting my artworks. Through this event, I am able to let out my pent up emotions in the form that satisfies me the most. I am also able to experiment with many different mediums that I haven’t been exposed to before. Because of that I am able to learn more as an artist and constantly improve my knowledge and skills. This exhibition is a form of an end result of my hard work, so I hope that the artworks are able to communicate my intentions well. I hope that the audience will have a great time viewing these works as much as I enjoyed making them.
