Thank you for your generous harvest donations of food for the Wrexham Foodbank. This week, Mr Williams took all the donations to the Wrexham Foodbank in Rhosddu. They were very grateful for your donations. All the food donations weighed 86kg!!!
That is the same weight as......
A large adult lion
An average baby elephant calf
The combined weight of around 86 one litre bottles of water
Thank you for your support.
Our first governing body meeting of the academic year was held last week. Sue Banner has been elected as Chair of Governors and Will Ollerhead has been elected as Vice Chair.
We welcomed two new governors, Dr Emily Clarke Jones as our new Local Authority Governor and Rev Emma Dale as our new Ex- Officio Foundation Governor. Sadly, Miss Marie Owen has stepped down as Foundation Governor. I would like to than Marie for her hard work and dedication as a Governor of Minera School. For further information on our Governing Body, please visit Our Governors | Minera Aided Primary School .

We have been invited by Minera Community Council to attend the annual Remembrance Service at the war memorial in Minera on Saturday 9th November.
The order of events is as follows:
10:30am – Children meet at school (Please wear school uniform)
10.45am – Service at the triangle of land near the bus shelter. The prayers, minute silence at 11am, laying of wreaths and crosses will then take place. Children will be laying crosses at the memorial.
As this event is taking place on a Saturday, children must be accompanied by an adult. Your presence at this event would be greatly valued.
After half term, we will continue to sell on behalf of the Royal British Legion, poppies and other items. Children will be able to purchase these during the week for a small donation.
On Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th November our Autumn Term Parents Evening takes place. This will be an opportunity for you to discuss your child's progress with their class teacher and to have look at their work in school. Appointments will be available to book after half term.
Attendance w/b Monday 14th October
