Practice Deep Breathing

When we feel stressed or anxious, we may unconsciously begin to take shallow breaths. Find time during your day to do some deep-breathing exercises.

This is one of our favorites is called 3-sided breathing. Just think of a triangle with 3 equal sides:

  • Breathe in for 4 seconds

  • Hold for 4 seconds

  • Exhale out for 4 seconds

If you start to feel anxious or overwhelmed, take a moment to do this exercise.
