The varsity girls competed at the Ord Invitational on Thursday last week. They put together a great performance at one of the biggest tournaments they have competed in this year. The team finished in 2nd place behind B#5 Battle Creek by 9.5 points, but ahead of B#7 Crofton-Bloomfield by 33 points. The girls were once again led by Keira Crane, who put together a complete performance en route to a championship with 4 falls, including over B#6 from Ainsworth in the finals. Eight other girls earned medals: Myia Hofaker (3rd), Cheyenne Vahl (3rd), Trinity Carr (3rd), Myka Petersen (4th), Cristal Gonzalez (5th), Isabel Serrano (5th), Xitlali Nunez (5th), and Emma Goodrich (6th).Â
The varsity team has one more week of the regular season, traveling to Central City for a dual on Thursday and to Lexington for the prestigious John Higgins Invite on Friday.
